  • Thank you for your comment. I would like to take the lid off, but as the table we used was brand new and didn't need any danish oil the video is just to demonstrate how to apply it. You'd be surprised how many people ask how to do this. When we have a table that needs oiling I will update the video and take the lid off. Hehe.

  • I thought that due to the fact that Danish Oil has few solid particles, it wasn't a practical finish for open pored wood such as oak, and that if a pore filler had been used, the oil had little effect as it couldn't penetrate the wood. Was the oil being used as something else here, or had the table been prepared in a specific fashion?
