Domestic rats are social animals; you should keep more than one lone male so they have company. And of course you can't put a Pouched Rat in with a domestic rat!! Maybe you need to read a little on the rat you already have?
Your ferret doesn't "dislike" rats--the rat is a food item to the ferret.

I actually have a normal (as in non-giant pouched) fancy rat that does this same thing now. It's not NEARLY as loud--I can just barely hear it at arm's length--but the cadence, general tonality, and event-driven nature of it is pretty much the same. Even more so, she's not just naturally deep-voiced; she only does it during social interactions with me. Of the 21 rats I've owned throughout my life, Blob is the only one who has done that.

Only problem with owning a rat is they can attract wild rats to your house. I know. We used to have one and it happened. Rats got under the house.

give him a kiss from me.
Umm... correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems shes building a nest, and the squeaking is coming from her babies.

Sorry, but they are banned in the States and in Canada because of the monkey pox. I'm not sure how it is in other countries but look for forums and breeders, there you can find info.

Is this a common thing for giant pouched rats to do? I can't find any other videos of it.

No, I don't think so. I've talked to other people who also has these rats, and have had them in a long time, and they never heard it either :)
