Just finished this book a couple weeks ago.  Good read, but not his best by any means. I've been re-reading a bunch of his older that I have in my library. I'm about 150 pages into my second go-round with The Bear and the Dragon.

I ahve a termendous amount of respect for this man. ANd i would really like to read his books. His REAL books like The Hunt For Red October, Patriot GAmes and Clear and Present DAnger.

characters in this one. It was a pretty decent book.

Only the characters from the books Tom Clancy actually wrote (not Splinter Cell, Ghost Recon, etc) are in this books. While those books are pretty good, Clancy's real books have much deeper plot lines and characters, and, in my opinion, are a much better read.
