The thrilling Story of Haiti is told through the eyes of Richard Morse, the owner of the famous Oloffson Hotel. It details the days when the US Marines used the hotel as a base and takes us through the days of the Duvalier dictatorships, the flight of Aristide to the more recent Irish philanthropic and beneficial charities. The rare and insightful interview is by done by Dr. Patrick Treacy

  • I returned home from the Olaffson yesterday. The rates are higher than its website says but it does have alot of charm. I lacked water two mornings out of three and never had warm water. The door lock was such you had to fiddle with it before it opened. I didn't dislike staying there but there is room for improvement for the money charged,

  • I couldn't hold back cracking up when the guy said Aristide was the last dictator in Haiti.

Notice how Richard was reluctant to answer the question.

The US has been manipulating Haiti for almost a century now. Richard's father was the one who advised the US government to orchestrate a coup against Aristide in the 90's because the Haitian population wanted to take charge of their destiny.

How do these people sleep at night?

  • good video... merci

  • he is one of the coups plotters against aristide

open your hotel to the poor instead of doing banquets to the 11 family of haiti

i love the two pedophiles next to him. they should also go away.

  • i respect richard morse i think hes a good man and i love his music, thanks for the vid

  • Written in Blood : A Black Nation Betrayed

  • This hotel made it through the earthquake and doubled its prices. The prices currently listed on its website no longer exist. Still I wish it good luck.

  • What Richard A. Morse said about Digicel is very true. Go around Haiti and you will see what Digicel had accomplished in 4 years in Haiti. No other company had never accomplished anything like that.

  • Excellent!

  • let's hope the Olofson Hotel will have many brilliant guests as soon as possible !
