Le baryton allemand Fritz Feinhals en une enregistrement de 1912. Feinhals fut habituel à la München Hofoper et chantait à Bayreuth, l'Opera de Paris (Jonachaan avec Richard Strauss), Covent Garden ou Metropolitan Opera. Il interpretait Carlo Borromeo à la première de "Palestrina", München 1917.

Fritz Feinhals (* December 14 1869 in Cologne , † August 30 1940 in Munich ) was baritone and Royal Bavarian Chamber singers in Munich.

After graduating from high school in his native city, he devoted himself to the Charlottenburg Polytechnic in the study of engineering. After his extraordinary vocal talent was noticed as early as the period of study, he turned at the age of 24 years at Selva professor at Padua, where he received his first proper musical education. He later attended the Conservatory in Milan, where he finished his studies with Professor Giovannini.

His career began as a stage singer Feinhals at the Municipal Theatre in Essen. After a short, successful work in this theater and an engagement at the City Theater in Mainz, he was in 1898 at the Royal Court Opera appointed to Munich, where he was the successor of Eugen Gura was.

His powerful voice and his imposing appearance made​him an outstanding representative of the Richard Wagner's opera characters. But also as an interpreter of Mozart and Verdi operas he could convince. Feinhals gave guest performances in almost every major opera houses of Europe. He toured America in 1908 and joined the Metropolitan Opera in New York.

His best roles were Hans Sachs , Wotan , Telramund , Don Juan , Hans Heiling , and William Tell . His wife, the contralto Feinhals Elise (1869-1924), worked with others at the Munich Festival and at the Wagner performances in Amsterdam in smaller batches. After ending his career as an educator Fritz Feinhals lived in Munich. He finished his career in 1927. He is on the Cologne -Melaten cemetery buried in the crypt of the family Feinhals.
