1-02 Magic City Gariland, Final Fantasy Tactics ファイナルファンタジータクティクス
---
Battle Map 2: The Royal Acadamy of Magic, which produced war heroes like the Wizard Elidibs. At Magic City Gariland, with Mr. Ramza, and Delita versus 5 squires, and 1 chemist.

These guys are bad news but not totally equipped in weapons and clothing, good thing too since this is the first real battle in the game. The first time I played the game I lost this battle miserably because I didn't know how to add units into battle and I just hit battle start thinking I put Ramza wherever and begin. Ramza and Guest Delita take on a mob! The other time that I managed to win this fight I had kept Delita alive using wish and he wished back, both units gaining a level making there levels and JP high for the start, and I don't really care about the units given in the beginning of the game so I buy new units immediately after this battle.

The battle fades out and it would then go to the world map, that is the edited out part I didn't keep in. Though I remember ignoring it my first playthrough and not even knowing I can customize my units using the formation screen. More videos to come.

Ramza and Delita barely manage to win this fight alone, and I figured it might be a fun thing to do. This Challenge is basically few versus many.

Final Fantasy Tactics (ファイナルファンタジータクティクス, Fainaru Fantajī Takutikusu) is a tactical role-playing game developed and published by Square (now Square Enix) for the Sony PlayStation video game console. It was released in Japan in June 1997 and in the United States in January 1998. The game combines thematic elements of the Final Fantasy video game series with a game engine and battle system unlike those previously seen in the franchise. In contrast to other 32-bit era Final Fantasy titles, Final Fantasy Tactics uses a 3D, isometric, rotatable playing field, with bitmap sprite characters.

The game is set in a fictional kingdom called Ivalice, which has just ended its war with neighboring kingdom of Ordalia. The story follows Ramza Beoulve, a young cadet who finds himself thrust into the middle of a conflict, where two noble factions are coveting the throne of the kingdom. While the war was caused by a conflict of succession, Ramza was exposed to a plot that involved the kingdom's dominant religious organization.

A spinoff was created in 2003, called Final Fantasy Tactics Advance for the Nintendo Game Boy Advance, and a sequel to that title was released called Final Fantasy Tactics A2, and in 2006, a stand-alone title called Final Fantasy XII was released for the Sony PlayStation 2. All three games take place in the fictional land of Ivalice. An enhanced remake of Final Fantasy Tactics, Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions, was also released in 2007 as part of Square Enix's new Ivalice Alliance project. Overall, the game received positive reviews from gaming magazines and websites.

  • Zodiac Compatibility, it's randomized every time for the enemies, the generic ones. You should take the time to review the tutorial in the main menu title screen of the game.

  • i see.. thanks . so

if it all depends on the zodiac. then seeing the walkthrough is usefull or the opposite of it? how does it helps?

  • Seeing a walkthrough gives insight into a possible gameplay future. It's only a guide and therefore, you can make you own decisions when you get to certain points.

I'll give you some advice though, always keep a backup save on the world map for this game. Compatibility with Zodiac comes into play, so if you want your party to have good compatibility, then hire your own units with the sign and brave/faith levels you want. The tutorial is very helpful and explains a lot.

  • The version that came out in 1998 on the PS. War of the Lions is the 10th Anniversary editionof that version.

  • what original version?

  • It might be that way for FFT:WotL, but in the original version, you will get all of the abilities listed.

  • rly, thats weird when one of my characters got killed i decided to get his abilities(i didnt know about the glitch at this time) and i chose my fav one out of the available(one of the dark knight techs) and i only got that ability, not all of them that were available, i guess ur game glitched with a glitch
