  • Woolly's Wolstenholme's first Maestoso album (1980) is a sad, pensive affair, and in part a response to his own mixed feelings about leaving Barclay James Harvest, the band of which he was such a vital part in its early years. This melancholy finds expression in two powerful songs about the First World War - 'Gates of Heaven' (14/18) and 'Patriots'. It was a theme he was to return to a year or two later with the very affecting 'Sunday Bells'
