i've been messing with some plug-ins and found this nice funk wah-wah guitar sound like instrument, mixed with keys and synthesized strings, drum and bass u get this beat
it sounds like my old beats, but it a new way, i just felt that i should upload it and see what ur thinking of it

first thing i listened to this morning lol - very catchy - as some one that writes rap i cant hear anything missing though? base is fine , melody perhaps needs to change a bit as the song goes on as its a bit repetitive but thats all i can think of - respect

so many people are influenced by the mainstream hip hop, it starting to sound more like pop, if u listened to one of the old school beats, it would be very simple with a catchy tone, the main tone, goes to the end of the song usually in the old beats, im not scott storch or timbaland yo, just a kid with a kit.. and thanx alot bro..
