@thepaola101 It's ok, no offense taken. I'm glad that we can both be mature about it, maturity is a hard to find thing on Youtube (Or the internet at all for that matter).

@thepaola101 Ugh. That's why I say "some." Yes I know it's a continent. If I was speaking for all countries I would've said all. At any rate, I'm speaking of historical culture, not today's culture. Things are much different today in Africa, that should be a given. This is why I try not to post on youtube, it's impossible to convey an entire message.

@LAWoman323213 You misunderstand me. For >some< people, their bodies can handle extra weight easily. People of African descent are more likely to be genetically predisposed to dealing with extra weight. That's what I meant. Whether or not her body can handle it can only be told by time. While she is overweight, she isn't morbidly obese (at least, just judging by appearance). Yes, losing weight is never a bad idea (except for underweight people) but she may be doing just fine.

@KingPanther13 With all due respect, your comment is utter bullshit! This isn't an "African" trait. Yes, she is of African descent (at least one or both of her parents are actually from Africa). However, Gabby grew up in the US. Like most kids who grew up in the 70s, 80s, 90s and today, her upbringing most likely consisted of a bad diet of AMERICAN junk food. Her body weight is not healthy for anyone of any descent. If you have a fat fetish, then that's a different topic.

@LAWoman323213 Some bodies can handle it fine. In African culture (and actually in most cultures including American culture in the past, but especially African culture) the largest women are actually the most attractive. So for some people of African descent, they may just have the genetics to be able to handle the extra weight. Being an actress, she probably can afford to see a doctor frequently enough to monitor for signs of heart disease, hypertension, and etc.

I really like Gabourey Sidibe, but I am concerned about her health. She is too big.
