I can't believe Eric saw Jeff while he was with the Tridents. I never heard that story before until now. The Tridents were Jeff's band just before he became a member of The Yardbirds. Eric first performed with Jeff on August 18th 1965 during a John Mayall show at The Pontiac Club in Putney. Jimmy Page was with Jeff when they walked up on stage and played a slow blues number with Eric. That must of been an incredible show to see.
