The purse thief

July 2010 3rd Place: Customer Success Story & Video Contest


On July 6, 2010, it was a hectic day at work for this Calfornia customer. One of this customer's employees thought she saw one of the customers reach under the cash register counter and steal a purse, but she didn't know who the purse belonged to so she forgot about it. At the end of the shift, however, she realized that it was her purse the thief grabbed. Remembering the approximate time she saw the purse being taken, she told me to review the recorded videos on the Playback screen in Command Center. Sure enough, they found the recorded video showing the thief taking the purse, hiding it under his shirt/jacket, and then quickly leaving their business.
