The 'Persian' name fits the theme of the show it was featured in better than the traditional 'Hindu Sword Basket'. Interstingly, I have a photo of the Hindu Basket being performed in Ceylon in the early 20th Century.

interesting to call it the 'Persian Sword Mystery' (hopefully not trying to stir up hatred against Iranians and/or Iraqis) instead of 'Hindu Basket' (can an assemblage of wicker actually have a religious affilation?)
