Anyone that says mules aren't athletic doesn't know anything about mules, lol. Your an awesome rider. I started with mules late in life (or equines in general for that matter), in my late 30's. Two of our mules take 3 steps if they spook , our horse wasn't easily spooked either, but the 7 year old molly mule we had (we sold her, lol) would make up stuff to spook at, I spent more air time on her than Michael Jordan. She never really bucked, she would hall butt and do a stoppie & I'd keep going

Thanks for making me laugh! I'm sitting here with a broken hand b/c my mule did the same thing to me 3 days ago, I didn't fall off, I jumped off, but somehow she broke my hand in the middle of the bucking. They can BUCK!

it was a horse and saddlery auction held at the ridding school about a year or more so ago.
