  • I actually have noticed just how close freddie and john really were. Look at the pictures, on stage, in interviews - I think they were really alot alike and were very close. When Freddie died, I think Queen died for John.

  • the most genial mind in rock music......R.I.P FREDDIE

  • @blushersthegreat I agree. I think Freddie was like a big brother for John. I don't know if I'd be able to go on stage ever again if I had gone like 15 years with this amazing performer who takes care of everything- when he's up front you know it'll be good. To all of a sudden he's not there- it's definitlynot the same...

  • @blushersthegreat yes it did...miss John too

  • @Cathie8791 I agree. John had nothing but respect for freddie and clearly adored him. It was freddie who pushed for "AOBTD" to be recorded and said he loved singing deacon's songs in one interview. So I believe the feeling was mutual.

  • there isnt enough footage of freddie in this :(

  • Lover of Life, Singer of Songs... Godspeed, Freddie...

  • There's just one word to describe Freddie Mercury, he was just UNIQUE, he had the best voice I've ever heard in my hole life; we miss you Freddie.

  • @blushersthegreat John never said much, but the subtext was there. I think he adored Freddie and couldn't quite muster the motivation to go on without him. Freddie was the heart of Queen and everyone knows it. I think John's most recent (albeit surprising) quote about Queen and Robbie Williams' rendition of "We Are the Champions" really hit the nail on the head. "'I don't mean to be nasty, but Robbie is no Freddie Mercury. No one can replace Freddie, least of all him."

  • i think the Freddie tribute concert is so unique that it will be written into stage music history as one of the most greatest and remarkable concet ever, in the way how it was done. I mean, i think it's a really rare occasion to gather so mny performers to one big gig. Especially a gig like this.

  • QUEEN FOREVER!
