HAPPY SAND CATS! - Big Cat TV

We are proud to have some of the happiest cats around. And right now our sand cats are at the top of that list as they love their new sand. A BCR supporter named Lindsay chose to have her friends give money to donate to a project for us rather than spend it on gifts for her. When donating money you can earmark the donation and tell us exactly what you want that money to go to. She picked a "Casper project" (named after a cougar we all loved) and wanted sand to be put in our sand cat enclosures. We were happy to add to her donation, so we could get three huge loads of sand.

Is Genie still living next to Zabu and Cameron? Canyon was moved to another enclosure as he was nervous being around lions and tigers, am I wrong? Anyway, do they still have sand in their enclosures?

@90Kirame Genie was never living next to Cam/Zabu, that was Canyon. Canyon was fine in that enclosure he was never scared of his tiger/lions neighbors they were 20+ft away, but he as been relocated to a larger enclosure in the centre of the sanctuary, yes both sand cat enclosures still have sand :)

@runrunforest1 We don't breed at BCR, we would rather put our resources towards rescuing cats from bad situations and save their lives. Captive bred cats are very very rarely released into the wild and if we cannot conserve the habitat for cats already in the wild we are in serious trouble!...
