During this period the University was undergoing dynamic change not only in the size and makeup of the student body but also in the look and layout of the campus.

  • That looks earlier than 1975-6. In the panoramic shot of the quad, D2 sign is on Dorm 6. That was from fall of 72 through spring of 74. After that we were in Dorm 8 my junior year and 10 my senior year. And that cannon shown was found while cutting down trees for bonfire. I think it later became the salute cannon.

  • This definitely belongs in Cushing Library...I've handled still photographs from the archives... but not 8 mm video. Very cool! It is great knowing the history of such a fine American institution.

  • That new water tower was going up, the old one coming down. History happening.

  • so this is what my parents saw! looks alot different! trees are bigger these days.. and kyle field is too haha.. while driving down university dr towards hwy 6 a few weeks ago, i told my mom, isnt it weird to imagine that this all just used to be trees and dirt roads? she said i dont have to imagine it, i remember it! haha.. i love this place. Gig'em Ags!
