Sun did got this fixed last year on all other systems like Solaris, Linux, OpenBSD, etc, but Apple does its own Java implementation and it was left unpatched for 6 months till a grey hat released a proof of concept exploit, which was then reverse engineered by other black hats and are in the wild. Apple now have patched this and it is now available for OSX as Java Update 4.
