Except with Blizzard doing it live action wouldn't work with the voice actors...just look at the guy that voices Raynor, in real life he looks like a math teacher (look up Starcraft on IMDb and at the cast, you'll see what I'm talking about). They'd need to get a Hollywood cast.

Yeah I agree. Avatar did wow me with the visuals when I saw it in the theater for the first time. And it turned 3D from a gimmick into a legit form of filming a movie.

I almost just wish the guys at blizzard would make the movie though. They've proven that they have some crazy amazing talent working for them; what with the voice actors, script writers, directors, digital animators, etc.. After all we know that Hollywood tends to water down films from the original source usually.

@anmibro - dude, that'd be the best movie ever xD Hopefully anyway. Lol. Avatar did have amazing, awe inspiring graphics though and while the story wasn't original by any means it was a nice view on an age old one. And with Starcraft having such a well crafted world with great stories and mythology play-ins I'm sure there'd be little trouble making a truly amazing film... as long as they got the right director. I could see Cameron pulling it off. Let's hope maybe one day he will :)

Yeah I had read that somewhere. I think you mean James Cameron though;) There was actually a director that approaches Blizzard and told them he wanted to make a Starcraft movie but they told him no, they said they'd seen his B horror flicks and he just wasn't good enough to toy with one of their biggest franchises. They obviously liked what James Cameron did with Avatar though since they singled him out as one guy they'd willingly hand over the movie rights to.

@anmibro Blizz said once that they'll be interested to make an SC2 movie if and only if David Cameron directs it. :D But I guess they're busy with the Warcraft movie now.
