Dear Blank: A Jonas Brothers Love Story Chapter 9

Nick's POV

"Where are you going?" Kevin asked me a little later on after I finished setting up my date with Megs.
"To pick up Megs." I said with a smirk as I walked out the door and closed it behind me. Then I rang the door bell and waited for Kev to get it.
"Hey, Smart Ass. Long time no see. Let me guess, here to pick up Megs?" Kevin asked sarcastically when he opened the door.
"It's like you read my mind, older fro bro." I said walking in and over to the stairs. I went down the hall to Megs' room. I knocked on her door and when she opened it I swear my jaw dropped. Where does she get all these amazing red dresses?!?!? (M.A.N. dress: http://www.unique-vintage.com/faviana-prom-dresses-luscious-lipstick-short-tu... ) My heart rate started racing at just the sight of her in that dress. I couldnt think straight for a second. Then I remembered that I had to take a breath and my brain snapped back on.
"You look...wow." Wow! Really? That's the only word I could come up with?!? Not Gorgeous, or pretty or beautiful or perfect but wow? God! I'm an idiot. Megs smiled and laughed a little.
"You're not that big of an idiot." she said and my eyes went wide.
"Did I say that out loud?!?" I asked and Megs laughed.
"No, but I know what you were thinking." she said with a smirk.
"How?"
"Nick, do you really have to ask?" she asked smirking up at me.
"I guess I don't." I said smiling at her. We've known each other so long I guess we do know what the other's thinking sometimes. I reached for her hand and took it in mine. "Ready to go?" I asked with a smile.
"Are you sure you don't want to stay and watch our TV debut!" she said sarcastically as we walked down the hall to the stairs and I laughed.
"Nah...Kev's already Tivo-ing it for us." I said and she laughed.
"Is he really?"
"Unfortunately...yes. There's something about everyone not staying to watch it that made him think that he should Tivo it for us."
"Can we get out of it?" Megs asked when we reached the stairs.
"NO YOU CAN'T!" Kevin yelled from the living room and we both laughed. I lead her to the backdoor and out into the middle of the field behind our yard where I set up everything for our New Years Eve date.
