  • He is indeed an amazing trombonist and brassplayer. I had the honour to attend a masterclass with him 2 months ago (I play the trumpet, and he was teaching the trombones) and he has such a great philosophy concerning the mental state of brass playing and different techniques to control focus and anxiety. He is currently the solo trombonist in Sønderjyllands Symphony Orchestra of southern Denmark. I had alot of fun with him, and we had a lot of beers and just had a good time...

  • That was just mind-blowing. I'm practicing this piece for an audition, I thought I was playing it pretty well, not great, but good. Then I saw this video and was just like, whoa, I have a lot more work to do than I thought! XD Sounds amazing, beautiful tone, excellent vibrato, and just over-all great playing. I'm going to aim to sound like this, because if I set a high goal for myself, even if I don't reach it, I'll still do better than if I set a low goal. Thank you for playing so wonderfully!

  • great job.

  • oh my god. you sound so freaking great. such a great tone.

  • Wow. I'm playing this piece this year and this video just gave me a remarkable example! I love the the part at 4:55. It's played so well. Thank you!!

  • gorgeous tone. Perfect entry on that High C sharp towards the end

  • wow!

  • Amaizing tone... some breath spots here and there but amazing to say the least

  • Man, that high C# at 5:16 was beautiful.

  • It's phenomenal how his tone sounds so full and open no matter the range. It's not too harsh when he's hitting the pedal tones - fantastic control! At the same time, his high notes just seem to float with such stunning clarity and openness. It's monumentally challenging to play like this, and this man is fantastic at playing the way he does!
