A short cover of I'm Not Alone by Calvin Harris on Korg Electribe EMX-1.

I would have done the melody over the top, but there aren't enough synth parts :L

  • It must be the new lefthand version of the EMX... :)

    seriously, nice sound !

  • @DerKiro No haha, my webcam flips the image :L thanks!

  • Nice clean drum sounds.. I think Unison 6Saw would probably be a better setting, mind. Though this is a minor detail. Which drum settings have you used?

Keep up the great work, I enjoy your vids :) x.

  • Thanks!

I used 6saw for the layered synth parts, but the drums don't have many effects on them if that's what you mean...

  • this is nice!! how long was your learning curve to get the hang of the EMX?

  • Nice! Korg EMX-1 only?

  • Yeah NIIICCEE work Dud :D i like some great Electro melody Synths...

have a look on my Page... i make Sound with the ESX ;) Maybe you like it too...

    Greetz

  • Nice song! got the same machine, can't stop marvel at the nice organic sound. Still have to learn "song mode" (been only playing manually patterns) in terms to marry it with electric guitar...

  • my emx stopped working in 3 months. Korg said they'd fix it for 60 dollars and hour plus the price of parts. This will be the last Korg product I ever buy,

  • @DESC0F buy Sony Soundforge, buy a nice high quality adda converter (Edirol, Tascam etc...) install both, plug in EMX, then record/master on soundforge.

  • @DESC0F

Download a program called audacity it's free, and its a very good recording / sound editing software. and its very small too !

what you do is hook up your emx wherever you normal hook it up to, but then try to split the output into : 1. a mini jack , that you will plug into the microphone input of the computer. and 2. a mini jack that you will simply hook up to whatever sound system you have so that you know what you do when recording. just press record in Audacity ! press stop at end!
