Cool bass line, but very poorly written. Still respect to Matt Minglewood for doing what he's been doing for so long. Hopefully our government pulls the plug on this religious/political quagmire they call a 'war'. And before you start blindly shouting support the troops, please educate yourselves. To support them is one thing, but mindless nationalism is not good for anyone.

Just because the song is written about sensitive subject matter does not mean you can overlook the fact that a song is just plain bad. I understand that life is difficult in Kandahar, I respect and support our Canadian troops, but that doesn't make this a good song. It's actually an awful song - the lyrics are dull and unexciting and the vocals aren't anything to write home about either.

For everyone who is saying the lyrics aren't good well then you obviously do not know anyone who has been to the sandbox. Maybe if you actually knew a Canadian soldier or any other soldier fighting over there then you wouldn't think these are "weak" lyrics. This is a good tribute to our boys overseas say what you want about the song but realize it's deeper than vocals, SUPPORT OUR TROOPS!!! (whether you support the war or not!)
