you have to look at how it drops, people usually help if its more widely spread. But if it's contained, people usually just walk past, thinking you don't need help

i was w8ting for a result..

@urinvisiblefriend That's definitely true. Also depending on the traffic of the hallway, if someone drops something in a high traffic area, there's little chance someone will stop, because it would interrupt the flow and you'll have something equivalent to a car crash.

@urinvisiblefriend plus, ofcourse personality, if the guy, or girl is a complete and utter twat then... well, they wont help
-
I would. I have. And I've been on the other end.

Haha... Happened to me in a line few years back when I first got into a college... my papers was everywhere and nobody don't give a damn. All of them were girls, I understand, A guy with a thick glasses and not good looking. They gave glance and just pretend to talk to each other.
Few minutes later, I was asked to move to the front, skipping those jerks.. I can't describe the feeling to yell " Aww Yea, &*%# you guys "

An interesting observation

@jackharvest1 You would think, but there was an old study done where ministers were asked to give a lecture at a neighboring religious building that was a 10 minute walk away. They allowed 50% of ministers to leave with 20 minutes to spare and the other half with 5 minutes to spare. They planted a person in need along the way and only the ministers with time stopped to help. And the sermon they were to give was about being a good samaritan, fancy that.
1:14 you can see her ass.
Good experiment xD

@sachoslks Nah, I thought that too, but it's just crossed beltloops over a tan belt. ;D

I thiki its more about having the time to help someone rather than gender. those who got out of a lesson usually helped but those who seemed like they were on the way to something did not have time to help :)

@Rospandan A valid point! But the old adage with 'the good Samaritan' informs us that there's more to it than the amount of time "available" to that person. Right?
