Silly question perhaps but I am not familiar with the context: do consumers in certain countries have to submit pre-crushed cans in order to get a recycle-refund? Hence the need to build your own machines I mean. Or are the machines built to save time when the goods are delivered, i.e. you do not have to stand at the machine in the supermarket for so long time. (That would also imply that some supermarkets or others accept pre-crushed cans.) Enlighten me pliz.

im not sure weather i like the whole cover/switch deal, but it would prevent gettin your hand smashed vs. havin a valve you operate off to the side

I have to say I just seen a video on a faster can crusher, but it wasn't built as well as this one. This one is much safer and bags the cans and everything. Bravo on thinking this one out. I also have to say that if you take a glass cylinder and place it over the Eiffel Tower the air within the Eiffel Tower actually weighs for than the iron that makes up the Eiffel Tower, because air actually has weight. So why smash the cans when you sell them for profit? In large quantities & over timeitaddsup
