The UN has called for an international investigation into the death of Muammar Gaddafi, the deposed Libayn leader, saying it could well have been a war crime.

Christof Heyns, the UN Special Rapporteur on extrajudicial, summary or arbitrary executions, told Al Jazeera that a proper investigation into the exact events surrounding Gaddafi's death was a key test for Libya's future as a democratic and accountable state.

  • Seeing how they are covering this clear war crime, I have no hope for the new Libya, they have just replaced one murderous dictator with a gang of blood thirsty unlawful terrorists. The circumstances around Gaddafi's death are not unclear, they are PRETTY CLEAR>>>> HE WAS EXECUTED<<<< PERIOD, and that is no more no less a war crime, those barbaric assassins should be taken and tried for carrying such a crime... AND I AM A GADDAFI HATER AND I HAVE BEEN ON THE REBELS SIDE but am so F disappointed

  • Yeah, we learned not to trust the pronouncements of the NTC. Remember when they said they captured one of his sons to only see him free just days later? We have no idea how legit their story is. One video shows Gadaffi alive, another shows him bloodied and injured. Another shows him dead. What exactly happened? My guess? He was just beaten/lynched, and the NTC made up a story about him getting shot in crossfire. Who knows though.

  • if the UN wants to be serious about it they should bring obama, sarkozy and all NATO leadership to justice for war crimes.

  • @MrElektrolyt out of topic

  • @joxatoni yeah but when osama died it wasnt?

  • @joxatoni I agree 100 % the leader of NATO should face war crimes, if nothing is done to bring them to trial. I was also on the rebel side until Nato started bombing and killing.not just protecting people.

  • lol yah lets backstabb the libyan rebels now and just invade libya

  • The disgusting display of hypocrisy knows no bounds: Under the pretense of 'humanitarian intervention' in Libya, NATO bombs probably killed more civilians than Gaddafi did during the last ten years. Gaddafi, as most autocrats, was coddled by the West when he cooperated, and dispensed with, when he didn't. Welcome to the newly 'democratized' state of Libya: mob lynches dictator + international banksters move in, to fuel the mob. Classic shock doctrine.

  • @harizotoh7 He didnt die right away after they shot him, the autopsy says he bled to death.

  • @LuckyDukeSeven

There is bound to be conflict and inequality after the abolishment of the Jamahiriya but chances are you clown didn't even know what that is.

  • @LuckyDukeSeven

The difference is that they weren't persecuted in the way that sub-Saharans were. They even killed children and now tell what will happen to the tribes that supported Qaddafi? Libya is headed for Civil war now and morons like you are too fucking dumb to see that. Instead you are cheering on a lynching mob composed of religious fanatics.
