  • how did he train?

  • it wasnt jump soles , squatflex, and tons of stretching..

too long to type his routine in this thread.. but lots of squatting/plyos etc.. stuff you know i like to do/prescribe.

eventually ill post the one day on one day off routine that he/i do which works very well..

    peace

Hey adarqui it's serious that there are guys with good standing verticals and bad broadjumps and same reverse. Your broadjump was 97" and your standing vert already >30".

For example i have a good broadjump of 113" and my PR standing vert is legit 30" not more.

The reason is standing vertical is pure strenght quad dominant.

The broad jump is more power from the hips and hip flexor can help too. (and calvs)

Olympic Lifting is one of the best ways to increase the broadjump.

  • @Manuelcr7 my standing vert on vertec was 28, on jumpmat 30.7 MAX.. so my standing vert sucks period ;d running vert 38-39.

but ya you got my broad jump right.

you contradicted yourself.. oly lifting is a primarily VERTICAL type of training, it benefits vertical jumping more so than broad jumping.. regardless hip power & "RFD training" from oly squatting/oly lifting will improve broad jump ya.

    peace man
