Joffan, read up a bit on thimerosal before you post-- actual studies, not press releases.  It's toxic as hell; if it wasn't, it wouldn't be a good preservative. The whole point of a preservative is that it kills anything that might grow in the flu serum.

@pkkda - Thimerosal doesn't "contain mercury" in the sense that a thermometer contains mercury. Compounds are not elements - that's why I made the reference to the chlorine in salt. If the piece is satire, it's satire of gullible protesters and their easily-triggered outrage at nothing.
