Part one of this video series is an overview of the Samsung Series 7 Slate Windows 7 Tablet PC. The Samsung Series 7 Slate is an incredibly compact and lightweight but powerful ultra mobile Tablet PC.

Packing the same generation 2 Intel Core i5 processor that you'll find in the Macbook Air 11" and the new wave of Ultrabook PCs, the Samsung Series 7 Slate also includes the worlds best Wacom Active Digitizer and Multi-Touch system.

The included portable docking station and keyboard make it a Tablet PC that could comfortably replace most desktop and laptops in use today.

  • Which tablet do you recommend getting this tablet or the asus slate EP121?

  • @Ykhavari Depends on you! They are very similar in performace and capability. Both have Intel Core i5, Wacom and are impressive hardware. S7S has a large 12" screen, EP121 has a smaller 11" screen. S7S is very light, EP121 is heavier. Ep121 screen is clearer and nicer to look at, S7S has a higher resolution (smaller pixels). S7S has better battery life. Pricing is similar. Your call...

  • Got mine last week, the thing is amazing. the USB port alone is worth the difference of the Ipad

He forgot to show the 2-3-4 finger touch shortcuts

  • @Danscheffler81 Good point. You should do a video of the extra shortcuts... Loving the S7S for sure!

  • Brett, Thank you for your response. I would have been terribly upset had I purchased a J3500 only to find out it would not handle Acad.

As for the HD3000 in the Sandybridge models, after my post to you I saw a video of an artist using ZBrush (a 3d sculpting program) on a SP121 which gives me hope that it would also be able to handle solid modeling in Acad.

  • @chrisose Chris, if you're referring to the ASUS EP121, it has a Core i5 "Arrandale" processor, the J3500 would be better than that since it has a Core i7 "Arrandale" at a faster speed.

It's not that the J3500 doesn't run AutoCAD, it just would be slow at times... This Samsung is the only Sandy Bridge slate at the moment. A number of convertibles are also Sandy Bridge, such as the Fujitsu T901 and HP 2760p.
