that's true, but technically on a per capita basis, there are more black people on welfare than whites. america is 72% white, and of those whites, ~5% are on welfare. america is only ~12% black, and of those blacks 28% of them are on welfare.

i'm not racist or anything, it's not like they had an easy time in this country. i'd bet in the next 100 years or so it will be much better.

With regard to AFDC the figures are:

White 38.8%

Black 39.8

Hispanic 15.7

Asian 2.4

other 3.3

Based on raw numbers, the majority of Welfare recipients are white. There are more whites than blacks though, so percentage wise blacks edge out whites but only slightly. What does this mean? Really, it means that many in our country are still struggling, regardless of race. It also means that most people on welfare are NOT blacks, as many people believe.
