This is a compilation of photos from our backpacking trip at Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore (and the surrounding area) in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. We hiked about 2/3 of the entire 42 miles of the park in 4 days, starting at the western most point. There were 5 of us (we're all from the metro Detroit area), and it was an amazing trip. I can't wait to go back.

Thanks for the beautiful photography and helping to bring back great memories. A friend and I did a two week backpack trip in August 1975 from Whitefish Pt to Grand Marais and then through the new at the time Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. I have many lasting memories and I loved the whole journey. It was and will always be a highlight in my life. Thanks again!

Awesome! Brings back memories when I backpacked Pictured Rocks. We ended at the Log Slide and ate at the same little place.
