Previous comments seem to suggest that the people making such comments think that this is a movie that is actually going to be remade, which I find hilarious.

RoboCop is such a good movie in its own right that there is no need for a remake. It's like trying to remake Terminator 2.

This fan made trailer, with the theme music from Deus Ex Human Revolution is a nice tribute, considering that Deus Ex even has a direct reference to the movie within the game, whilst also drawing inspiration from it.
