It isn't random at all. The song is about writing songs. It's pretty obvious, the Miracle is the creation of lyrics and music. He talks about vocabulary, where the melodies are coming form, writing all day 'from am to pm' and how he gets in the zone. 'i don't leave my alphabet soup till all the words gone'. It's all about writing a song.
