@alexis2kool He is blinded by anger, almost destroying what he'd been trying to save. This shows him the true nature of the dark side, and greatly influences his decision to become a Jedi, not a sith. You see the duels in the OT have actual meaning and depth to them, portrayed in many ways including the fighting styles. Unlike the prequels jumpy spinny shit that lacks emotion.
