Nicolai Ghiaurov sings Ella giammai m'amo

A young Nicolai Ghiaurov sings King Philip's aria from Don Carlos. Recorded live in 1960 at the Bulgarian National Opera in Sofia.

Trivia: This was Ghiaurov's first Philip in Italian. He was just 31.

Ghiaurov was married to soprano Mirella Freni. They are shown together on two pictures in this compilation.
