  • @Chroesus - I've read and heard interviews where he vehemently denied that. According to him that song wasn't about acid at all and he has apparently never even tried it. Not saying you're wrong just sharing what I know about the subject.

  • @boliverful1 I agree a Great Book! Im reading a book by the author of Shakey about Tammy Waynette

  • @kstrehlo According to Neil, he felt it was all 'jive', the 'Hollywood' attitude the cameramen appeared to carry, which distracted him as a musician. He said he was there to make music, not to play for any cameras that happened to be in everyone's faces. Again, this is according to a Woodstock discussion in "Shakey"; a great book well worth reading.

  • Pretty damn great. Killer harmonies. Thanks very much for posting.

  • so funny how stills get interupted

  • @Chroesus Do you know the book Shakey? His official biography. It explains why he never took acid.

  • @CosmosOfBeauty No, this is not true. He never was an acid head - that's right. But he did try LSD. Do you know his song 'Last Trip To Tulsa'? It's about an acid trip he once had.

  • @GodfreRayKing Yes this is from Woodstock, it's from a bootleg DVD "The Unreleased Woodstock Outtakes", i have some of it on my channel.

  • @GodfreRayKing

This is absolutely from Woodstock, it's a fact. Neil was there, but chose to stay on the sidelines and only begrudgingly agreed to perform with Stephen during a very quiet lull during the wee hours when most of the audience were asleep.

  • Stephen's generic blues noodling and their slow rhythm weren't great. But the videography really sucked. No wonder this was never released. Anyone have anything firm on the legend of Neil not wanting to appear on camera during Woodstock.
