Once, Sainsbury's used to be the upmarket place to go. Since the late nineties it lost that title to M&S food then along came Waitrose rendering Sainsbury's to being just another supermarket alongside (at the time) Tesco, ASDA, Safeway and Morrisons now its just the big four. Sainsbury's will never be on top. Tesco(1ist) owns too much, ASDA (2nd) is cheaper then its Sainsbury's which even when i worked there in 2000 resented 3rd place Morrisons 4th but is closing the gap!

@marcjames1987 you just odn't get the point. its all low grade food and its tiny portions put into little packages in every supermarket

For the amount of time you likely queue in somewhere cheap like NETTOS you may as well go there as it's the same time waiting (probably less) than in Sainsburys.
You'd save yourself a bucket load of cash in NETTOS too.
Supermarkets are supposed to sell quality low cost fruit and vegetables? they don't.
