  • Belgians are awesome!

  • @220773 May I just pay your attention that Brussels is a bilingual city.

  • @reggynb

    Een echte Brusselaar spreekt Nederlands.

  • @reggynb Of course, I can't either speak or understand Flemish, man, but... I'm guessing: I suppose you said that Brussels is not a French-speaking stronghold, and this inspires me quite a lot, because outside of Belgium it is commonly known that the Walloons are a majority in Brussels, although it stands in a Flemish environment. Tell me more. :-)

  • You have a real affinity with the music you illustrate, like somewhere down the crazy river that I complimented a year ago( ...where does the time go?) Beautiful, sensitive work. If you are in the mood to do more, I would love to see and hear...thanks for sharing. Stuart.

  • Leve Nederland en Vlaanderen!

  • Brel was bred and born in French-speaking Brussels, that is a French-speaking stronghold amidst the Flanders, and he himself came out of a Flemish family ('Brel' is indeed a Dutch-Flemish surname), so that's why he sings this Flemish version so goodly. :-)

  • >> Perfect.
