the ego is a weapon of mass distraction

good video, but what's the background music?

@rabcarl That's why the video stated "in a social system". That was nice that you explored it further "in a individual system". :)

@rabcarl I really don't think that's true. I believe that everybody wants to achieve greatness and personal success, but at some point they "realize" they are incapable, or it is too difficult. So they give up and convince themselves that they are content with a simple life, when in reality they will never achieve what it is they truly wish to accomplish.

Yeah but maybe these changes aren't for everyone and maybe thats just fine. Some people don't want to help the world, don't want to change their view of reality and I just can't see why exactly that is a problem. Sometimes I just wonder if the idea of something universal and utopian doesn't just arrise from being ungrateful towards the situation a person is currently in. If someone wants the world to be a better place they should just correct their own judgements and lifestyle or just accept it.

And the second one is about the effect in your new perception of the environment.
Every single action that you make affects both your new state and the sum of all the actions of all other persons around you in the same reality
-
It is not, this is based on a much more complex vision called System Dynamics (e.g.: The V Discipline - Peter Senge, MIT) and an awareness about how we actually affect the environment in a feedback process, therefore the system affects back. From this point you can tell two things: you can really change the reality in which you live by taking the right decisions at the right moments. Also in Quantum Physics this is called the 1-0 law.
"In a social system, an individual's success is motivated and measured by the society."
I disagree. They are motivated and measured by the individual. There are some people who are perfectly content with living at a lower income or simpler lives, and there are some people who fall in between, and some people who are totally motivated by wanting to be superior. And while society might dictate the MEANS for being superior, the underlying desire is the individual's.

From a Kabbalistic view, the ability to change the environment calls for a vision on the responsibility we have as persons on the way the world is moving, just think, what if we just make a change, a good one, and after that, we push another little good one, and the receivers then just pay that forward to somebody else, it is not just a romantic idea, it is the possibility of a real change in a real life (yes I know there is a movie about this, but it is possible in the real world)
