to be honest- she ain't getting better and better. cuz she set the bar with " winter's bone" so freakin' high, that she has to compete with her very own and not every performance holds up to that one. "the house at the end of the street" for example is the typical horror/thriller flick in every actress' filmography and it sucked big time. even her acting was boring, cuz there wasn't much to act. now something else: who thinks, that katniss everdeen is rhee dolly in a utopian setting? :)

Let's leave Mila Kunis aside. You can't compare Jennifer to Meryl, Diane or Natalie, at least not right now. She's too young, but no doubt she will get there, and soon. Now, I haven't seen Silver Linings Playbook to tell you she really deserved the Oscar, but I can tell you that she's a really good actress. She delivers raw and emotional acting. Of course, not everyone will agree, there will be those who hate her and those who love her.

It's awesome she doesn't try to act like a celebrity. Too many actors get their shot of fame and it goes to their head. She just stays herself. If she's nervous or star struck, she doesn't hide it. Awesome person.

I don't know why people gave you thumbs down. A lot of fanboys I guess. She is a great actor, but then again I don't think I know much of acting to know who is good. Professionals actually can tell who is great and who isn't. That is why she won. People love her because of her awesome personality, not just for her acting skills. She acts like how a normal person would act with all that glamour- it's rare to see an actor act like a regular joe.

i just love how natural of an actor she is, how raw she is, and how fast she is getting better and better just from the first hunger games to silver linings play book(witch i connected with a lot personally) also just as an overall person she seem awesome also :) something new in a way also

Not trying to start a fight or disrespect, though I know that some psychos like MsLapadite (youtube.com/user/MsLapadite) will start fights with folks who don't agree with their opinion. My question: Can anyone please help me understand they hype about Jennifer Lawrence? She's a decent actress but in my opinion she didn't deserve her Oscars noms & win. I wouldn't consider her a good actress like Natalie Portman, Meryl Streep, Mila Kunis, Diane Keaton, etc. Your opinions are appreciated. Thanks
