  • vorojtsov,

Don't use 1990th. That's for ratios only. If you want to say, "around the decade of 1990," you use "in the 1990s". As in:

In the 1,990th minute of the race, the second place team overtook the first place team."

    or

"In the 1990s, the Republican Congress destroyed all barriers keeping financial institutions from creating another depression, this ensuring today's disaster."

Just a minor point for clarification, that's all.

  • Hi toeg1! Thank you! I now corrected it. Serguei

  • Good stuff.

What kind of businesses did you see succeed due to the need for added security?

Alarms dealers and security monitoring companies (Brinks), or just bars for windows, sturdy doors and better locks?

  • Hi bwelkk! In Russia most people installed second doors (first and second doors would open in different directions, so that it is not easy kick out the door). Also iron window grids for ground and second floors.

  • Great video between the two of you. Thanks!

  • Hi lordvalgarX! Thank you for the first comment! Serguei

  • "When family deteriorates, the whole society deteriorates, because family is the basis of any society."

The most important statement in this whole video in my opinion.

  • Very interesting information, Serguei!

Too bad mainstream news will probably not cover such practical first hand advice.

  • The best business during severe economic collapse is funeral services, my mother got lucky working as an accountant in the 1990s in one such company, the business swelled and we lived like kings compared to rest 95% of society...

  • sadly, this is also gonna happen to the country that i am from, greece

  • Best channel on Youtube for chess playersssssss

  • sounds like the great Obama plan for America---- wake up and smell the coffee!!!!

  • Capitalism is great but the draw back is greed. The biggest offenders in America is the government! We don't want a bigger government. If America falls everyone falls with it!

  • I lived in Russia for a short time in the winter of 1998. The people were wonderful, generous and kind. The collapse of the ruble was still felt then, but there was little complaining. I was amazed at their honesty when I bought some things for my wife and the store owner said a baroque I picked out did not match the necklace-thus taking money out of her pocket. I bought it anyway.

I am retired military, Nam and Cold War. Evil lies in power and greed, not people.

  • biggori,

All empires are inherently evil. Certainly the US can claim being the evilest, but the competition is harsh. The US has kept the entire continent of South America impoverished for over 100 years. Killed 2 million in Vietnam, overthrew more than 20 democratic leaders, killed 1 million more in Iraq, the list is long and the space is limited. Go to my forum. I delineate it better there.

The US is evil. Is it the worst??? Perhaps.

    But the competition is tough.
