New song from the album that will be released in April 2011

According to laist.com: "The second to last track, "I Should Have Known" was the slowest track of the bunch but probably the heaviest, in this case not in sound but content. With former Nirvana bandmember Krist Novoselic on bass and accordion, "I Should Have Known" is supposedly about Grohl and Novoselic's former friend and bandmate, the late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain."

  • Great! Tnx for sharing this awesomeness. :)

  • Oye para mi, la segunda mejor canción del album Wasting Light, despues de Walk,

  • @mimimiLIKEY fuck really now were at 6 smh what has the world come to

  • @icbm777 in the biography of Dave Grohl made by Paul Brannigen it is says this song is actually about his best friend Jimmy Swanson, who died of a drugs overdosis in 2008. Though Dave admitted that this song was in general about friends who he has lost. Kurt Cobain is certainly one of them, but I think it's just not ONLY about Kurt. After all, Jimmy was his best friend. He knew him a very long time, since they were friends on highschool.

  • @mimimiLIKEY Yeah, really. Five dumbasses now.

  • I thought in the back n forth doc, it Was Butch Vig that said this song may have been about Kurt. I dont question that it is but Either way it is undeniably done with the most powerfully passionate angst and grace that was meant for someone truly missed and still unforgiven for their departure. This and These Days are very special to me.

  • @bongnp "I was inside of you I should have known, there was that side of you".

  • At some point I've become a Foo Fan Girl. It's been a slow burn but I think I'm there. Officially.

  • in an interview Grohl sayd that the meaning of this song is about a girl that he knew long ago and he knew that that relationship was going to end that way

  • @bongnp In an interview not to long ago Dave said it did have to do about Kurt a bit and other things...
