  • I've been vegan for six years now and was a vegetarian for ten before that. At 39 years young I feel fantastic! I currently work out six days a week, three of those with a personal trainer doing functional fitness and strength training.

I enjoy all of these discussions on health and diet though none of them have convinced me that a vegan diet is unhealthy. I will remain vegan until my body and spirit tell me that it is not the best choice for me.

Peace and good health to you all.

  • Dogmatism...drives me nuts. Thank you! It becomes sort of a religion with some. Dr. Jeff is smart with common sense, not just in his field. And just a personal observation, I've rarely seen a strictly raw female with nice-looking hair. It's always rather frazzled and frizzy, like they are lacking in protein. ??? Un huh. Raw if great...but imho, 70% raw is better for me - not 100%. I prefer a balance between all good foods.

Your argument makes no sense. How many vegans have you even met? You have to have an ample number of vegans to compare them and their hair to those that consume animal products, which pretty much make up almost the entire world. Most people eat meat yet they suffer from tons of health problems that most vegans do not. If not so nice hair (in your opinion that is) is all you can come with to badmouth vegan diet, you're an idiot.

  • Oh hello! Have you tried the Fat Blast Furnace (just google it)? Ive heard some unbelivable things about it and my cooworker lost a ton of stubborn fat.

  • The case for meat eating is bunk. Only by cooking the fuck out of the tissue and slathering it with high sodium sauces and spices, can you make this rotting carcass palatable. Wake the fuck up you morons.

  • in paradise there was no killing of animals, it all was good. But, in summer at the bbq I love to eat some meat. The smell. Amazing. And taste so great.

  • @hwiseman1

Well; that would depend on the kind of food you eat. Fruits and nuts do not need to be cooked. Animal products don't need to be cooked. Leaf vegetables should generally be cooked.

It's also different for each of us. Some people can positively thrive on a raw vegan diet. Some people thrive on a raw carnivore diet. The fact that something works for someone doesn't mean it does for everyone and vice versa.

BUT: Religion has nothing to do with this.

  • @labellavita116 Killing is to cause a living being to die.

Murder is the first, but intentionally. And if there is no need to kill for my own survival I kill because it is fun for me to shoot a animal or I like the taste of it. In this case it IS murder as I think.

And besides. Religion is obsolete. So don't refer to the bible. Its useless and old. Does not match the world we live in.

  • "good clean fish" LOL
