Employees of the North Carolina Zoological Park, as well as the Zoo's visitors, as always excited when new animals arrive. However, introducing those new animals to their exhibits can be a complex and time-consuming process. Recently, two new ringtails, which are native to the southwest United States, arrived at the Zoo's Sonora Desert exhibit. Keeper Wendy Foley explains how they were able to successfully introduce two unrelated female ringtails to each other—the first time this has been accomplished in a U.S. zoo.
