Here is my little video of our building construction, starting with delivery, foundation, assembly and completion. We had 4 guys and it took 4 days to complete this building including the garage door. We had the foundation poured 3 weeks in advance. It was great how every hole lined up. Once the grout was done we all headed home. What a way to spend a week of vacation. Great food, great friends and now a great garage out at the ranch.

Enjoyed your video... I got my building up, I used the C-Channel, wish I had gone to the industrial base. I ended up with some bad leaks even tough I cemented the base in good and did a good job with caulking. I have some drips throughout the building coming from the top area... I have about 6 leaks that seem to be coming down the seams into the Channel from above. Not sure I can find a way to fix it... disappointed. I hear that closed cell foam will seal water out.

Would have been good had I not gone the U channel route. Crown Company recommended it as an easier way and speedier way to go. I still have leaks but think they can be fixed with a silicon seal. I'm putting up the installation now
and hope it takes care of the condensation that drips down. ( They said it would.)

Richard, you could always use the Industrial Base Connector that way you don't need grout. It does cost a little more however when everything is done and said it usually costs about the same, however less of a back ache.

We had a redi mix truck there for another project. Filled them a little past the top of the channel. On a couple of sections where we didn't vibrate the concrete water seaps in. I was thinking about caulking the seam of the arch and concrete where is has shrunk with good sealant or using a spreadable/sprayable sealant almost like tar to coat the area from the outside of the channel to a couple of inches up the arch.

How high did you grout each arch? I grouted about 8"up inside and out with concrete and sand grout. Water is still getting in. I plan to go higher for a second layer.

Most people "grout" with concrete. thats how I did mine...Although, I'm sure A non shrink grout would be the best way to go.

Good project! Did you need to grout the columns at the bottom where they meet the foundation?
I'd like to know but can't get info about this.
thanks, Richard
