discussion on horror movie or not; I watched this movie without seeing the trailer and I was fucking scared halfway in, not knowing wtf I could expect. It turned out to be something else but the suspense horror usually has, catfish DEFENITLY has that. horror or not; this movie blew my mind, literally.

They all die horribly at the paws of 'grumpy cat' who has been creating fake fb accounts with the sole purpose of luring innocent young men to a lonely barn where he can scratch their eyes out before taking cute pictures and posting them with witty phrases like, 'I hate you all', on a popular facebook page. It's a real work of art, you should track it down ;-)

Well I've just watched it and have to say that I thought it was an absolutely brilliant piece of work, raises various questions about the human condition. I must admit though, I didn't realise that it was a documentary until I read the blurb on the rental sleeve as I sat down to watch it. Like others, I'd seen the trailer and mistaken it for a 'reality' horror movie. Brilliant none-the-less, really enjoyed it ... if enjoyed is the right word. Moves along at a brilliant pace, keeps you there.

you know what? I saw this trailer and I got so excited because i was expecting something really scary to happen at the end but it wasn't really.I mean it was kind of disturbing because it really does show you what facebook and the internet can do in a persons life..but still...they shouldn't have made this trailer look like a horror film.Esp with that last quote about it being like a Hitchcock film.Very untrue.Good film...bad trailer.
