Hey kids, let granpa raocow tell you a story. The story of the very, very first smw game lp.

The absolute very first smw mod lp on something awful was Super Demo World by vegastar. Vegastar is a pretty solid player, I'd say we're about equal if I compare how we performed in luigi's adventure, I'm just more pig-headed. Thing is, Demo World isn't a hard game. It's not easy by any sense, and it has extremely challenging bits, but at it's heart it's still a mostly fair, well designed game - which means that by youtube lp standards it'd be considered too easy and poo-poo'd almost instantly.

Thing is, Demo World seemed very epic, because vegastar only resorted to savestate as a last resort (and the secret world). It took a while before savestates really where pushed foward, and every cleared stage was a victory. You could feel that victory. It was earnt.

in the past I have said that I do not want to loose my roots. I may not bear the sa lp community as close to my heart anymore, but I will still not forget the core of what inspired to start doing this in the first place.

So nyah. Now get off my lawn!

Like I said before, I'm not really in favor of this idea, and already the commentary seems a bit strained. Just remember, Raocow, it's supposed to be fun. Once it stops being fun, it's okay to go back to playing in a way that is fun. Nobody really wants to watch another TSRP Torpedo Ted room video.

I'm going to level with you, it'd be kinda strained regardless. I'm kinda tired of the whole 'random for random' deal, and the only parts that I really like from my videos is when I bring stuff out that's related to the happenings, and stuff.

I guess the reason why I'm making this change is because my own videos stopped amusing me, and I'm doing something that's more along the line of something that I actually want to see.

Makes sense, no?

This is what happens when you get bored and YouTube yourself. Thanks for the kind words, buddy, no matter how old this is. I used savestates in moderation because netplay loadtimes and a lack of video editing motivation made it priority, mostly. It did make everything more awesome, though. I miss these days, but only just a little.
