@AmsterDanity In an easier explainiation, the smoke is thick so it feels like your chewing something

Had one of these last night. Intense cedar & pepper flavour and aroma...that's about it. Pretty one dimensional. Not my fav Opus-X and I do prefer stronger cigars. IMO, not as good as the Padrons, not too mention the better Cubans

This is my guilty pleasure watching good cigar videos, what I like is the detailed explanations, that only an experience cigar smoker could reinforce nice video.

Thanks for the explenation. Just started fully watching your reviews and I haven't seen you, almost speechless, regarding a cigar haha. Good to see.

Nice review. I grabbed a handful of these yesterday at Holts and smoked one along with this review. Currently 1/4 inch in and still stuck on heavy white pepper notes. I agree that its a 90 minute smoke. As much as I enjoy FFOX they develop incredibly with a year or so of aging. The rest of these will be put in the back of the humidor for the next year.

@nightjammer yeah the Hemingways are fantastic. Still have a few of the 'Short Stories' I bought from JR Cigar 7 months ago. Excellent little sticks!!! Can't wait to try the 'Best Seller'.

I'm going to sound like a real philistine here, but Opus X is simply too much cigar for me. Way too peppery, too ammonial and too "tobaccoey". It's just a lot of cigar.
I much prefer the Hemingway and Don Carlos lines.

Brian, love your reviews man very informative. I've seen just about all of your videos and love to hear your input and has led me to buy some of them even the famous OPUS X. Again keep up the videos love to tune in and listen. By far the best cigar reviews that I have ever seen. Thanks again and keep em' coming!

What is meant with a 'chewy smoke'. I have heard Bryan use this term multiple times but what is the definition of it? Fantastic reviews by the way, keep them coming!

@AmsterDanity It means the texture in the mouth is chewy like you actually have something in your mouth - very thick smoke as opposed to airy.

Firm is relative. It means very little give, like stiff paper. You should not be able to 'squeeze' a cigar. At most it should be a touch spongy but come right back.

I do not normally ever comment on prices since they can vary so wildly depending on where you are. What can be found anywhere for $5 around me may be rare and $20 by someone else.

Wood and leather? That doesn't sound like it would taste good. Just saying.

That's ok, everyone has different tastes. It appeals to many, and doesn't to many. I don't care for some of the flavors out there, for sure, like licorice.
