Inspiration for the sculpture draws on imagery of the Archangel Michael. A fluid and beautiful angel stands forward of the raw circumstance of earthen boundaries. Heavy copper elements of the wings and a slashing element in the back plate evoke the warrior quality representative of the Archangel Michael. . A copper canvas is physically patterned and flame painted to create texture and character. Polished stainless steel, aluminum and torch patterned copper construct the kinetic sculpture composed of three main areas of balance. This trinity of balance points are again divided into counter balance points of the tails bringing the sculpture to a balanced rest.
