Prankster calls CNN news anchor Ali Velshi a DUMB ASS during Live BLIZZARD ALERT

February 10, 2010: A crank call into CNN headquarters made it through LIVE on the air during a severe weather alert.

At the time, the northeast region of the United States was being pounded by a nor'easter which dropped over a foot of snow in most places.

The prankster identified himself as Gene Lasker, claiming to be from the New Jersey Emergency Management and that they are reporting the closing of Newark International airport as conditions worsen.

He suggested that viewers stay home to watch Howard Stern on American Idol tonight. He also called the reporter a dumbass for not realizing that this was obviously a crank call.
