A cool clip from a party of myself, Jim Xavier, playing drums in a jam with great guitarist Bill Wiseman and legendary bassist Tony Newton, who played on the original with Allan Holdsworth and Alan Pascua in the Tony Williams Lifetime band. We hadn't jammed this tune as a band in a few years.

Hi SuperMusicology. This is Jim the drummer in the vid. Thanx for the kind words. This was jammed at a party unrehearsed. I'll always cherish this vid being with Tony, the man on the original classic. This was recorded a few tears back now (I think 3). Yeah, Tony still looks great.

amazing musicianship aside, I cringe when I see those water bottles precariously perched on that warmed up mesa. God forbid the collosal soundwaves being generated by those shredders happens to push the bottles the wrong way lol

Very nice I like this version I still feel the spirit of the song great musicianship also drummer did a great job did'nt fake the funk nice thanks for upload when was this performed tony still looks young I know this was first recorded at least 37 or so yrs ago
